Benefiting the Tewksbury Township Historical Society. Join the Society and 55 Antique Dealers from NJ, NY, PA & CT who will be selling all kinds of primitives and holiday crafts. The Society will also be selling antiques that have been donated to them.

(R) THE ROAD ALONG THE ROCKS: A WALK DOWN A REVOLUTIONARY ROAD - SESSION 1
South County historians and Revolutionary War experts John and Barbara Hencheck are your tour guides for this fascinating guided walk on the 18th century "Road Along the Rocks".  Are your own feet falling where famous feet traveled during the Revolutionary War?
Warm attire and good walking shoes recommended.  This tour will only be cancelled for a major ice or snow event.

($) WASHINGTON CROSSES THE DELAWARE ANNUAL RE-ENACTMENT - DRESS REHERSAL
Hundreds of reenactors clad in Continental military dress will row across the Delaware River in three replica Durham boats. The event is a dress rehearsal for the annual Christmas Day reenactment of George Washington’s heroic 1776 crossing of the Delaware, which is widely considered a turning point in the American Revolution. During the dress rehearsal, troops will row across the river in uniform just as they do on Christmas, plus additional activities and demonstrations will take place throughout the historic village.

Join George Muller, an expert in cut glass, Flemington Cut Glass and the history of cut glass!  George will mesmerize us with tales of the glass industry in Flemington and also answer questions on your cut glass treasures that you bring in for "show and tell."

Join Historian and Author Peter Osborne who has published the 2 definitive books on the history of Washington's Crossing State Park:  "No Spot In This Far Land Is More Immortalized:  A History of Washington Crossing Historic Park" which focuses on the Pennsylvania side, and "Where Washington Once Led:  A History of New Jersey's Washington Crossing State Park" which details the New Jersey side -- originally Hunterdon County.

Join 4-H Leader Carol Weisenpacher and make a fun Victorian style ornament for your Christmas Tree. We will be learning to decoupage an ornament and finishing it with glitter and beads.  
lease note that there are two different sessions of this craft and each session will be making a different shaped ornament.

(R) HISTORY THROUGH MUSIC: A REVOLUTIONARY CHRISTMAS
Anne and Ridley Enslow recreate the music of American history - as moving in its own way as standing on windswept battlefields or reading the journals of those who lived through these tumultuous times.
Dressed in historically accurate clothing, enjoy this concert of music from the American colonial period, the Revoluntionary War and the 18th century.
The Enslows perform on historically accurate instruments and in 18th century attire - a feast for both the eyes and ears.

WASHINGTON CROSSES THE DELAWARE ANNUAL RE-ENACTMENT.
Each year on Christmas Day, thousands gather on the banks of the Delaware River to watch the reenactment of George Washington’s daring Christmas Day river crossing. During the event, several hundred reenactors in Continental military dress listen to an inspiring speech by Washington and then row across the river in replica Durham boats.

A VICTORIAN CHRISTMAS AFTERNOON TEA

($ R) A VICTORIAN CHRISTMAS AFTERNOON TEA
Join us for this very special event for mothers, grandmothers, godmothers, aunts, sisters, daughters, and nieces.  A lovely 3 course tea will be served while special guests will visit with us who will delight both young and old alike!  
NOTE:  THERE IS A DRESS CODE FOR THIS EVENT
:  hats for women and proper tea attire.  No jeans.  Girls 12 and under are requested to dress in Victorian style.
 There will be a Childrens' Fashion Show for girls 12 and under and a judging for best Lady's Hat and best Victorian Dress for girls.  Prizes will be awarded.
Tickets are $25 for women* (18 and older); $15 for girls under 18.
Payment will be required within 3 days of your ticket order. Checks or cash only payable to the Hunterdon County Tricentennial Committee may be mailed to or dropped in our mail slot at 3 Chorister Place, Flemington, NJ 08822.
This will be open seating and small groups may be seated with new friends.
*Although we are not discriminating against male guests, we are encouraging this to be a Women's Tea.  Men and boys have the same cost as women and girls and jackets are required for this tea.  No jeans please.

TIME CAPSULE CEREMONY
Join us for a celebration in the County Park behind the Historic Courthouse on Main Street in Flemington!  It may be cold outside but this is going to be one cool event: hot dogs, hot chocolate and hot live music beginning at 11 am; the ceremony begins at high noon followed by more food and drink!  A fun way to end a great year! Food courtesy of our super sponsor Shop Rite of Flemington.
