RED MILL MUSEUM VILLAGE SUMMER HISTORY CAMP
Campers will step back in time and learn about life long ago right here at our nineteenth century site. What did kids do for fun before the Internet? How did they make their toys? What was school like? What did they eat? How did people get what they needed? Campers will make their own candles, churn butter and ice cream, play old-fashioned games and much more! A live blacksmith demonstration is a highlight of the week.

TEWKSBURY BARN TOUR
The Tewksbury Barn Tour, co-sponsored by the Tewksbury Historical Society and Tewksbury Trail Association, will be held this year on Sunday, July 22 from 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., rain or shine. There will be six barns on the tour offering a diverse display of country life in Tewksbury.
This year’s barns offer a wide array of architecture, operations, farming and practical use, from an active equestrian operation to a private home and more in between. Come enjoy a barn that was moved from Canada and reassembled, looking like it did over 100 years ago. View a new horse operation sparing no detail in its layout, form and function. Tour a private home that was once a dairy barn that now boasts almost 9,000 square feet of living space, including the restored silo dating back to the early 1900s.
Tickets can be purchased on-line through the Tewksbury Historical Society’s website (click on the Barn Tour page). Advance tickets are $ 20 per person and $ 5 for children 12 and under. Tickets will not be mailed but must be picked-up the day of the event, along with a brochure and tour road map, at the Christie Hoffman Farm 108 Fairmount Road West (Route 512) Fairmount section of Tewksbury Township. Tickets may also be purchased the day of the tour, while they last, at the Christie Hoffman Farm, at a cost of $ 25 per person. Tickets must be purchased no later than 1:30 pm to allow enough time to complete the tour by 4 pm.
The Tewksbury Historical Society is a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to research, preserve and disseminate the rich history of the Township of Tewksbury.
The Tewksbury Trail Association is devoted to supporting a vibrant equine community and preserving the rural atmosphere and natural beauty of Tewksbury Township. Members of the association work diligently to maintain and expand over 100 miles of riding trails.
