CHILDREN'S HISTORICAL CRAFT PROJECT: FIBER/QUILT PROJECT
A historical craft project for children with Carol Weisenbacher and Susan Miller. After finishing the craft project, participants will take a short walk to the building next door to view the Historic Quilt Display.

Susan Miller has been taking quilting classes for about 15 years in both hand an machine quilting. As a graduate from the University of Vermont, she received her BS with her major being in clothing and textiles. Susan has devoted her personal life to volunteering to help guide, coach and teach other children as well as her own two. She serves as Boy Scout Troop 194 Committee Chair, Venture Crew 6194 Committee Chair and has been on the Troop Committee since 1992. She has been the Leader of the Hunterdon County 4-H Sheep Club since 1972 and on both the 4-H Sheep and Livestock Advisory Councils. In addition, her volunteerism in Hunterdon County includes the Hunterdon County 4-H & Agricultural Fair Committee, the NJ Board of Agriculture, Hunterdon County's Office on Aging Advisory Council, Mental Health Advisory Committee, Human Services Allocations Committee, Hunterdon County Health & Human Services Advisory Council, Raritan Township's Economic Development Committee, Office for Senior Services and Raritan Township Historians Committee. She is a member and past President of the Flemington Woman’s Club and is active in the Flemington Presbyterian Church.. |
