After a 30 year career in Chemistry, Leslie Leith is a recently retired Research Scientist from Bristol-Myers Squibb. Her research into her own family history was her introduction to a website called Findagrave leading to her volunteer work with the group. This free website offers the ability to link family members buried globally using volunteers to create memorials for the deceased and photograph their graves. In the past year, as a volunteer for Findagrave, Leslie has photographed 1300 graves and created 757 memorials. Besides supporting this great genealogical tool, for Leslie, the work has been a history lesson of Hunterdon County’s farm families.

Leslie is a member of the Flemington Presbyterian Church Choir and Bell Choir leading to her interest in the documentation of the cemetery on their property with interesting discoveries of many individuals buried there. She is a member of the Hunterdon County Tricentennial Committee where she volunteers at various County functions. Time not spent with her grandsons, yoga, saxophone and flute practice is spent along with her husband. Robert Leith, exploring the County’s past centuries in their cemeteries, on-line and at the Historical Society.
